Reduction

The Reduction is a material used in different industries and mainly used to join two pipes or tubes. The reduction covers the ends of the pipes to be joined and connects them together. It can be made of different materials according to the system to be used.

What Is A Reduction?

The biggest benefit of the coupler is that it provides the opportunity to make pipe joining process easily. Thus, the loss of labor and time is reduced. Removable couplings make pipe replacement processes easier. In this way, the maintenance and repair of pipelines will be done faster and easier by using a coupler.

What Does The Reduction Do?

In agricultural irrigation, the reduction is the parts used to join the irrigation pipes. The reduction helps prevent water leaks in the irrigation line and enables the pipes to be connected to each other.

The reduction is crucial to the efficiency of the irrigation system. If water leakage occurs at the connection points of the irrigation pipes, it can cause water loss during the irrigation process, reducing the efficiency of agricultural irrigation and causing unnecessary water loss. It also ensures that the pipelines are properly installed and remain in place. Thus, it ensures that the pipelines are long-lasting and require less maintenance.

Where Is The Reduction Used?

It is possible that we can see the reduction in many industrial areas. It is used in the construction industry to join water and gas pipelines. In the automotive industry, couplings are used to combine engine accessories. The reduction is widely used in the shipping, chemical and energy industries.

The reduction in our Serdrip company is used in the process of connecting the irrigation pipes used in drip irrigation systems applied to agricultural areas.

What are the Reduction Measurements?

The sizes of the couplings used in sprinkler irrigation systems may vary depending on the pipe diameter used, the coupling type and the purpose of use.

Commonly used pipe diameters are 32mm, 40mm, 50mm, 63mm, 75mm, 90mm, 110mm and 160mm. In accordance with these pipe diameters, couplings with a diameter suitable for the pipe should be used.

The type of sleeves can also be different. Some sleeves can be welded, some screwed and some pressed. Different sizes may be available for each cuff type.

The dimensions of the sleeves used for irrigation purposes are generally determined by the pipe diameter and the intended use. For example, the size of the sleeve used for a filter connection may be different.
