Mini Valves
The mini valve used in the drip irrigation system is a small valve located on the irrigation pipe. Mini valves are part of the drip irrigation system used to close or open the desired area in the pipeline. Thanks to the mini valve, the drip irrigation system ensures that the water in the system goes to the right and desired areas. However, thanks to the mini valve, it plays a major role in dividing the water equally to each plant, preventing the waste of water and determining the flow direction of the water.

What are the Points to Consider in Mini Valve Installation?
Installation of mini valves positioned on drip irrigation hoses may vary according to the needs of the plants and the characteristics of the soil. The spacing of the mini valves is determined according to the distances of the plant lines, the diameter of the irrigation hose, the flow rate of the water in the drip irrigation system and the water holding capacity of the soil. Other points to be considered in the use of mini valves are as follows;
- The mini valve should be positioned correctly and it should be ensured that the plants receive the water they need correctly.
- In mini valve installation, attention should be paid to the flow direction of the water. In mini valve installation without determining the flow direction, the flow of water cannot be done correctly and irrigation efficiency decreases.
- Appropriate mini-valve selection should be made by paying attention to the diameters of the pipes in the drip irrigation system.
- Mini valve model should be preferred considering the pressure of the water in the system.
- Make sure that the mini valve is leakproof.
- Periodic maintenance of installed mini valves is required. Defective or clogged mini valve should be cleaned and replaced if necessary.
